AtmaNambi on the indestructible true Self speaks directly to the fear that lives quietly beneath most spiritual seeking — the fear that we are broken, that something essential has been damaged, that the Self we are looking for may not be findable anymore.
With one gentle stroke, he dissolves that fear entirely. You cannot lose what you truly are. Not through trauma, not through years of distraction, not through the heaviest forgetting. The Self — awareness itself, the witnessing presence — is not something you possess and can misplace. It is what you are. And what you are cannot be subtracted.
The forgetting, he says, is temporary. But he goes further still, and this is where the teaching opens into something luminous: even the forgetting serves awakening. Every moment of lostness, when seen clearly, becomes a doorway. Every time the mind drifts and then returns — that return is itself the awakening, practicing itself through you.
This teaching also touches the theme of grace — the understanding that nothing in the inner journey is wasted, that even wandering has a hidden intelligence guiding it toward recognition. Conscious living, in this light, includes honoring the entire arc — not only the moments of clarity, but the ones that led you back to it.
